Wear Your Weird

The Program

Be You.
Do You.
For You.

To The Weird Ones, the Misfits, the Rebels in Disguise:

If you were looking for permission,
here it is.

Be weird. Stand out.
Be whoever you want to be.

You may have been taught so far to think and learn in a certain way.
Look like this, act like that.

But let me tell you a secret:
you were born to STAND OUT.
To think for YOURSELF.

So it’s time to be brave and wear your weird.

To stand up for what you believe.

So it’s time to be brave and
wear your weird.

To stand up for what you believe.

It’s time to learn who you really are.
To know what your weird superpower is.

So just how awesome are you?

Take the Wear Your Weird quiz and let’s
just see how awesome you really are.

Are you a parent, teacher, or youth leader?
If so, this is for you.

Are you a parent, teacher, or
youth leader?
If so, this is for you.

There’s nothing quite so heart-breaking as seeing a child whose self-esteem and self-belief have taken a serious hit.

Many kids, afraid to get it wrong, start to shrink, cover up and suppress what makes them so unique, so they can fit in to the images they see, knowing that if they act or appear too different, they may be isolated or bullied.

But we can change that.

Imagine watching the kids under your loving care go from confusion to clarity, from lacking direction and feeling powerless to understanding themselves and their purpose a little more, and to feeling empowered throughout the process.

The Wear Your Weird program is designed to introduce kids to the process of discovering who they are through the use of hands-on activities and dynamic discussions, uncovering what makes them fantastically unique and yes, weird.

The results? All those special qualities they were born with become strengths and superpowers—not something to be ashamed of or something to hide.

I designed this program after working with kids on many different levels and in various settings, seeing their struggles with using their voice or worrying about standing out in a crowd.

I’ve seen the difference the Wear Your Weird program makes in the minds and hearts of kids of all ages.

From primary school to junior high, the kids who’ve taken the WYW program feel…

..and most importantly, they believe they can proudly wear their weird after all.

For Kids

This program is a tool to discover who you truly are without anyone telling you the answer or how to behave. The Wear Your Weird program will help you to reveal your individual strengths and characteristics that are unique to you in order to allow you to live in a way that is true to you!

For Parents

This program is a link between what we wish for our kids and what society trains them to be. This program, created for youth, can be completed as a family for everyone to learn more about themselves. We all want what is best for our kids, but don’t always know how to allow them to be the individual that they are born to be. This online course gives not only the permission but the tools and steps to get closer to that reality.

For Educators

I don’t think it’s any secret that confident, self-assured kids have more patience and grit to stick with tasks with a little more tenacity. Teaching confidence is not in the curriculum or something you have time to do yourself individually with kids. This program can be taught as an in-person workshop for the entire class to work through in order to create confidence, resilience and allow for more productive learning.

Connecting Social Emotional Learning with Alberta Learner Competencies and Curricular outcomes from English Language Arts and Health and Life Skills makes the Wear Your Weird program easy to integrate into your classroom lessons.
