People who are elephants tend to be good friends who think about others
and the group or community as a whole.
Because of this, they can also be taken for granted.
Elephant people are good students or employees who work hard and do what is expected of them.
Elephants are sensitive and because of this often know what someone else needs even before they do.
They are also reliable and loyal and often struggle when the world changes the rules on them.

For Educators

I don’t think it’s any secret that confident, self-assured kids have more patience and grit to stick with tasks with a little more tenacity. Teaching confidence is not in the curriculum or something you have time to do yourself individually with kids. This program can be taught as an in-person workshop for the entire class to work through in order to create confidence, resilience and allow for more productive learning.

Connecting Social Emotional Learning with Alberta Learner Competencies and Curricular outcomes from English Language Arts and Health and Life Skills makes the Wear Your Weird program easy to integrate into your classroom lessons. Learn more about the specifics of how the program relates to your curriculum as well as options for extension of learning here.
