A horse person is cooperative and a good team player.
Horse people are caring, dedicated and good friends who are welcome in most situations.
They are often hard on themselves though and require patience and to be reminded that they are
amazing just the way they are.
Horse people are good employees who work hard,
support others and understand what needs to be done.

Program Details
Although this program was originally designed for youth,
it has become apparent that it is valuable learning for everyone.
The ripple effect of having the confidence to be authentic can be felt
in all aspects of life and impact all levels of relationship whether
that be family, school, work, or play.

For Educators
I don’t think it’s any secret that confident, self-assured kids have more patience and grit to stick with tasks with a little more tenacity. Teaching confidence is not in the curriculum or something you have time to do yourself individually with kids. This program can be taught as an in-person workshop for the entire class to work through in order to create confidence, resilience and allow for more productive learning.
Connecting Social Emotional Learning with Alberta Learner Competencies and Curricular outcomes from English Language Arts and Health and Life Skills makes the Wear Your Weird program easy to integrate into your classroom lessons. Learn more about the specifics of how the program relates to your curriculum as well as options for extension of learning here.
