WEAR YOUR WEIRD
Stand up and stand out
Stand up and stand out
It takes courage to grow up and show up to who you really are–at any age.
We know how we as adults have struggled with the big questions of life—who am I, why am I here and what’s my purpose?
Knowing the challenges of finding those answers, we still tell kids to be themselves or dream big, but then provide them little guidance on discovering what that even means.
Imagine being a teen in the age of technology and the explosion of social media where youths receive thousands of images on any given day about who to be, how to behave, what to wear.
Younger and younger, kids are losing their ability to know who they are at their core.
I say, “No more.”
Instead of hiding who they are,
the solution is to Wear Your Weird instead.
We have a responsibility to ensure kids have a safe, creative container in which they can not only identify what makes them unique but also learn how to live each day with that type of courageous decision-making.
While a Wear Your Weird program won’t magically reveal their entire personality or purpose in this life, starting to discover who they uniquely are is an important step to take in connecting them to their purpose.
Wear Your Weird challenges kids to be proud of who they uniquely are.
The weird parts of their personality are meant to be on display for others to see.
Wear Your Weird gives kids from twelve years of age and up the permission to discover who they are and put themselves first, reveals where their talents and unique abilities lie, and eventually leads them to their purpose and ultimately their joy.
